Whether you’re a seasoned traveler or visiting for the first time, I’m here to make your adventure truly exceptional
We’ll arrange private transportation from Cuiabá International Airport straight to our partner lodge in Porto Jofre. Ideally, you’ll land in Cuiabá during the morning so we can hit the road around 10 AM. On the way, we’ll stop for lunch along the famous Transpantaneira road and enjoy plenty of chances to spot wildlife during the roughly 6-hour journey. Once we arrive, you’ll settle into your room and relax with a delicious dinner before getting some rest—we’ll be up early for our first adventure on the river!
The day starts bright and early at 5:30 AM with a buffet breakfast featuring coffee, juices, tea, fruits, bread, spreads, and eggs. By 6:00 AM, as the sun begins to rise, we’ll set off on the boat to explore the river and search for jaguars and other incredible wildlife. Our experienced guides will navigate prime spots, keeping their eyes peeled for exciting sightings.
Every morning in the Pantanal is an adventure—you never know what surprises nature has in store. Around midday, you can choose to head back to the lodge for lunch and a quick rest, or stay on the river to maximize your chances of catching the action. (We recommend the river lunch option—it’s either packed for you in the morning or delivered by boat.)
As the sun sets, we’ll return to the lodge for a hearty buffet dinner featuring meats, fish, salads, rice, and beans. The evening is yours to unwind and gear up for another thrilling day on the water.
On the boat, you’ll have a cooler stocked with ice, water, and complimentary soft drinks. If you’d like beer, just let us know, and we can provide it for an additional cost. Don’t forget to mention any dietary restrictions when you book!
Get ready for an unforgettable full-day safari, from sunrise to sunset, chasing jaguars and exploring the heart of the Pantanal.
After breakfast at the lodge, we’ll arrange your return to Cuiabá International Airport, wrapping up an incredible adventure in the wild.

In addition to the elusive jaguar, we’ll have the opportunity to observe a wide variety of mammals, reptiles, and birds. Common wildlife sightings in the region include giant otters, tapirs, macaws, toucans, and even anacondas.
The area near the Encontro das Águas State Park is renowned for hosting one of the highest jaguar populations in the world. However, giant anteaters are not typically found in this region.
The lodging is all-inclusive, providing simple yet comfortable facilities with a warm, home-like atmosphere. It’s conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the boat departure point, making it ideal for early starts. The lodge is surrounded by wildlife, offering incredible opportunities to spot animals right from your stay. With its welcoming vibe, it’s a great place to connect with travelers from all over the world.
No, there are no bathrooms as we are in the wild. If you need a bathroom break, the team will find a suitable and safe spot along the riverbank. Your guide will step off the boat first to ensure the area is secure before you step onto land.
For female guests, it’s recommended to bring toilet paper (provided by the lodge). We’ll also provide a ziplock bag to store used paper, ensuring we leave no waste behind and maintain the pristine environment.
Visiting the Pantanal comes with unique challenges due to its remote location and high demand. The Porto Jofre region has limited lodges and boats, creating a natural supply-and-demand imbalance, especially during the peak jaguar season (June to September).
Logistics also play a big role—everything, from food to boat fuel, needs to be transported over long distances, adding to the costs. Additionally, tourism here is seasonal, with only a few active months, making it necessary for prices to reflect the reality of maintaining operations year-round.
Despite this, I strive to offer competitive rates while ensuring an unforgettable experience in this incredible destination. Let’s discuss and see what works best for you!
The Pantanal is the world’s largest wetland, stretching across Brazil, Bolivia, and Paraguay. Known for its incredible biodiversity, it’s a mosaic of flooded grasslands, savannas, and tropical forests, home to thousands of plant and animal species, including some of South America’s rarest wildlife like the hyacinth macaw, giant otter, and maned wolf.
Each year, seasonal rains flood up to 80% of the region, creating a haven for aquatic life and attracting migratory birds like kingfishers, jabiru storks, and macaws. During the dry season (May to October), as waters recede, the wildlife becomes even more visible, particularly jaguars, which are often seen along the riverbanks hunting, resting, or mating.
A UNESCO World Heritage site, the Pantanal is one of the richest ecosystems on Earth, boasting South America’s highest concentration of wildlife, including the largest population of jaguars anywhere in the world. It’s a true paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.
